Logentia completed an estimate on the cost cutting potential for transportations based on Biolan’s previous year’s deliveries. Following further research and a thorough analysis, Biolan decided to introduce Logentia’s web-based services to support the work of transport coordinators. Logentia’s services make work easier for Viessmann

Viessmann is Europe’s leading provider of refrigeration solutions as well as a significant buyer of transportation services. The need for transportation ranges from individual spare parts to large project deliveries. Viessmann operates in all European countries, which means that the transportations need to be cost-effective and reliable independent of weight classes or routes.

The collaboration began in 2012 with building a freight service portfolio and tendering, which requires understanding of the customers’ logistics needs as well as careful modelling. Several transportation contracts that would complement each other were recommended for such a large company as Viessmann in order to optimize transportation costs and reliability of delivery. Selecting the best contract on a case by case basis was made possible with the efficient comparison tool. Integration of the freight calculator with Sultrade’s ERP supplier’s warehouse application

Sultrade Oy, an independent subsidiary of the Transmeri group, is an importer of sports and leisure products. In addition to Finland, Sultrade’s sales area also covers Sweden and the Baltic Countries. Logentia participated in a large-scale warehouse logistics modernization that started in 2013. The picking and data systems of Sultrade’s warehouse in Espoo were modernized.

The aim of the warehouse logistics modernization was to make the entire process from the receipt of goods to shipping and invoicing them as smooth and cost-efficient as possible. Logentia provided Sultrade with a freight information system, which enables active selection of transportation options even via the warehouse’s mobile terminals. At the same time, Sultrade’s distribution contracts in Finland were put out to tender and the price level of transportation services was lowered.
